MORNING TIME
Write the definition of joy in a place where your whole family will see it every morning: “Finding a way to be happy, even when things don’t go your way.” Start as many mornings as you can by reading it aloud in whatever voice or accent you want. Make it fun and make it joyful!

MORNING TIME
When you go into your child’s room this month, say, “Merry Christmas! It’s the best time of the year! God gave us Jesus!”
DRIVE TIME
Tell your child to look for Christmas decorations while you drive. Play a game where every time you see Christmas decorations, no matter what they are, everyone has to say, “Happy Birthday, Jesus!” Why? Because Christmas is all about Jesus’ birthday!
CUDDLE TIME
Cuddle with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, this iss uch a special time of year. I pray we will find ways to celebrate Jesus’ birthday every day. Thank You for giving us Jesus to be our friend forever. You are the best, God, and we love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
BATH TIME
Use shaving cream, washable bath paints, or tub crayons to draw a birthday cake with candles on the tub. Sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus. When it’s time to blow the candles out, tell your child to blow while you wipe them off. Draw more candles and sing again. It’s Jesus’ birthday!

FEEDING TIME
While feeding your baby this month, say, “God gave us [name of food]. God gave us [name of drink]. God gave us Jesus!”
CUDDLE TIME
Cuddle with your baby this month and pray, “Dear God, this time of year can get busy with a lot of good things, just maybe not the most important things. Help me focus on you giving us Jesus and what that really means. I want [baby’s name] to grow up celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. I love You, God, and I am thankful for Jesus. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
BATH TIME
Add a baby doll to bath time. Pretend it is baby Jesus and sing, “Happy Birthday” to Jesus while you bathe your baby

Brainstorm together a list of five things you are thankful for that you may see as you drive (trees, animals, people, fire truck, etc.). Tell your child you will use the list to play a game in the car. Read the list a few times as you drive as a reminder of what you are looking for. Mark the items off as you find them, and thank God for them.

When you go into your child’s room this month, say, “It’s morning time! Where’s my [child’s name]? There he/she is! I am so thankful God gave you to me!”
DRIVE TIME
As you drive, take turns saying, “Thank You, God, for [something you see out of the window].”
CUDDLE TIME
Cuddle with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, We have so much to be thankful for. Your goodness is everywhere we look! We see Your goodness in the sunshine, beautiful flowers, fresh air, birds singing, yummy food, good friends, and family. Thank You for all the things You have given us! We love You, God! In Jesus’ name, amen.”
BATH TIME
Add several foam hearts to the bath water. Give your child a plastic bowl, and encourage him/her to put ALL of the hearts in the bowl. You can skip the bowl and line ALL of the hearts up along the edge of the tub. Emphasize the word “ALL” as you talk about the hearts. Each time your child does this, say, “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” Psalm 111:1.

FEEDING TIME
While feeding your baby this month, thank God out loud for whatever comes to your mind, “Thank You, God, for [baby’s name]’s smile. Thank You, God, for our home. Thank You, God, for our food. Thank You, God, for our family.”
CUDDLE TIME
Cuddle with your baby this month and pray, “Dear God, You are so good to me. I want to live life aware and thankful, but sometimes life gets busy and I just forget to say thank You. I want to take time right now to say thank You for [something specific]. I especially want to thank You for [baby’s name]. I love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
BATH TIME
Sing the following words to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb while giving your baby a bath: “We thank God for everything, everything, everything. We thank God for everything. I thank God for YOU!” Touch your baby on the nose when you say, “YOU!”
