Pray for unashamed boldness to share the gospel.

Heavenly Father, I have neighbors, coworkers, friends and family members that don’t know you. They are waiting on someone to share the gospel with them. Just like someone was bold enough to tell me about Jesus please give me the boldness right now to tell the next lost soul I encounter about you. Give me the boldness to start a God-conversation today! Help me to move past my fears and insecurities and boldly proclaim who you are in love. Use me today Lord to bring someone to you!

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35

Pray for Southpoint to become an attraction for lost souls because of our love for one another.

Lord, thank you for this spiritual family that you have brought me into. Thank you for these relationships marked by your love. Please help me to lay down my agenda and my selfish ambition to serve my brother/sister and show them your love. Empty me of my pride and my need for plaudits, preeminence and position. I will selflessly love my brother/sister today and show the world that I am your disciple. In Your Name, amen.

“22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23

Pray that God’s Kingdom would come and his will would be done through the fruit you produce in your life. Ask the Lord to produce the fruit of his Spirit in your life.

Heavenly Father, I desire to bring honor and glory to your holy Name by the fruit of your Spirit being produced in my life. May your Kingdom come and your will be done today in my life. I pray for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness and self-control to flow out of my life today. Use me to show the world how amazing you are! In Jesus’ Name, amen.

“And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” – 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Ask the Lord to help you not rely on eloquence or human wisdom but on the Holy Spirit’s power.

Lord, thank you for showing me that you don’t need eloquence or human wisdom to preach your gospel. You just need a heart that submits to you and relies on your Holy Spirit. May I never rely on my eloquence or the wisdom of man to preach your gospel. Help me to rely on you as the apostle Paul did when he preached the gospel to the Corinthians. Use me today Lord in the midst of my weakness and trembling to tell this world about you. In your Name, amen.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” – ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Worship the Lord today for making you a new creation in Christ Jesus and ask the Lord to use your obedience to grow a new creation in this world for his glory.

Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding me today that I am a new creation because of what Jesus has done. My old life has been buried in the grave and I am now a new person alive in you! Thank you Lord! Use me today to reconcile creation back to you. Use me O Lord as new creation to expand your new creation through my acts of obedience today. May my obedience bring glory to your Name. In your Name, amen.

“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” – ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:18-20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Ask the Lord to use you today as his ambassador and minister of reconciliation to spread the good news of his gospel and reconcile the world to Christ.

Thank you Lord for this day! Thank you that this is the day that you have made. Lord, you reconciled me by your blood! I have been brought near to you because of your great work. Thank you Lord! You chose me to be your ambassador to declare the good news of salvation to the world in which I live. Thank you for this task. May I faithfully accomplish all you have called me to as your ambassador and minister of reconciliation. Use me to reconcile my family, my neighbors, my coworkers, and everyone I come in contact with to you. In your Name, amen!

“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”” – ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:37-38‬ ‭ESV‬‬.

Ask the Lord to send out laborers to the harvest field of lost souls.

Lord, you declared that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest. Therefore, I ask in faith right now for you to awaken your people to go and reach these 900,000 lost souls in this city. Lord, give us a burden for lost souls just like you have. Lord, use me today! Use me to inspire someone today I never expected. Use me to reach someone today with the good news of the gospel. Use me to make a disciple today and help them grow closer to you today! In the Name of Jesus, Amen!

“My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” – ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭20:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6

Ask the Lord to remove the distractions of this world and to give you a laser focus to tell others about Him and for Jesus’ work to be fully accomplished in those you are witnessing to.

Lord Jesus, give me a laser focus today and every day to finish the work of telling others about the Good News of your wonderful grace. Remove the distractions in my life that keep me from accomplishing this task. Remove my selfishness, my greed, the idolatry in my heart and the love of the flesh that consumes my time and keeps me from this mission.  Please bring to completion the work you have begun in those you have used me to reach out to. Help me to be a good steward of this call and cultivate their lives through discipleship and follow up. In Your Name, amen.

“Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ…When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings. Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.” – ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:19, 22-27‬

Pray that the Lord would make you amazing at connecting with lost people.

Lord, please help me to become a more effective witness for you. Like Paul, help me to learn how to effectively find common ground with the lost around me without compromising your holy standard. Heavenly Father, please make me amazing at connecting with my neighbors, coworkers, and every person I encounter in order that I might lead them to you. Paul did everything he could to spread the news of the gospel. He became a slave to all. Lord, give me a heart like Paul’s that does whatever it takes to win the lost to you . Let my selfishness die today. Make me focused and disciplined today to run the race marked out before me of preaching the good news of the gospel.

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? – Luke 15:4

Ask the Lord to give you a Shepherd’s heart that is burdened to go after lost souls.

Lord Jesus, thank you for coming after me and saving me when I was lost. You are the Good Shepherd who laid down your life for your sheep. Please give me a Shepherd’s heart like yours that cares for those who are wandering around lost. May I relentlessly go after the lost like you went after me. In Your Name, amen.

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.” – Psalm 105:1

Pray that God’s Name would be made known and glorified in every nation.

Lord, thank you for what you have done! Thank you that you have made me for your purposes. Thank you that you took me out of darkness and brought me into your light. Thank you that I was dead in my sins and trespasses but you made me alive in you. Thank you that you are the one who forgives me of all my sin, heals me of all my diseases, redeems my life from the pit, crowns me with steadfast love and faithfulness and provides me with good so that my youth is renewed like the eagle.Thank you that my sins have been removed as far as the east is from the west.  I am a new creation because of your work on the cross. Today,  I will proclaim your goodness to the world in which I live, work and play. I will make known among the nations what you have done! Thank you Lord! In Jesus’ Name, amen.

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Pray for the leaders of our nation to surrender to Jesus.

Lord, It is your desire for all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth of the gospel. I ask that those who hold positions of power in this nation would surrender their lives to you. I pray for the president and vice president and all who work in government to come to a saving knowledge of you. May your Kingdom come and your will be done in the United States government as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

““You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:14-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Pray that the world would see Jesus through the way you live your life.

Jesus, you have made your people the light of the world. The world is watching the way I live my life. May I live a life that glorifies your Great Name. May my unseen life bring honor to your Name. May my seen life honor your Name. When the world looks at me may they see you Jesus. May I boldly shine for your glory, not to be known and become famous, but to make you known and make your Name famous. In your Name amen.

“25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.” – Ezekiel 36:25-27

Pray for those you love who don’t know Jesus to be cleansed of their sins and given new hearts.

Lord, thank you for cleansing me with your water and for replacing my old sinful heart of stone with a new heart of flesh. Thank you for saving me by your amazing grace. Lord, I ask for those around me to also find new life in you. Please give my family (children, parents, siblings, etc.) new hearts Lord. May they have hearts that long for your presence and desire what you desire. In your Name, amen.

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” – Romans 10:14

“26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” 27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian[a] eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, 28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. 29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.31 “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.” – Acts 8:26-31

Pray for a gospel centered conversation to take place in your life today.

Lord, there is a lost and dying world around me. They cannot hear the good news of your gospel unless someone goes to them and tells them. Holy Spirit, please guide me today just as you did Philip.  Please give me supernatural direction of where you want me to go and who you want me to help know you. I pray for a divine conversation to spark today that will lead someone responding to the message of the gospel. Use me today Lord. Thank you for using me to do your work! In Jesus’ Name, amen!

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?” – Luke 15: 4

Pray for God to instill a deep desire to relentlessly go after the lost until we reach them with the gospel.

Lord, give us a desire to go after the lost. May you connect our prayer for the lost with the action of going after the lost. Lord, help us to not wait around for the lost, wandering sheep to come find us. You have called us to go out! To seek until we find! Help us Lord to have such a burden for lost souls that we as your people start making a physical effort to go seek a lost soul until we find one and bring them to you. In your Name, amen.

“14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life.” – 2 Corinthians 2:14-16a

Pray that the people of Southpoint would become the aroma of Christ through their daily acts of sacrificial obedience.

Thank you Lord Jesus that you conquered me by your love. Thank you that my sin has been defeated at the cross and I am no longer bound to sin, but I am a new creation in you Jesus. Lord, make my whole life a pleasing aroma of you Jesus. When others “smell” the way I live my life may they “smell” the sacrifice of my life. May my secret life, the life no one else sees but me and you Lord, bring honor to you. I offer myself as a living sacrifice today for your glory. In your Name, amen.

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” – Isaiah 6: 1-8

Pray that we would become a consecrated people who answer God’s holy calling by giving us  a revelation of who God is that leads to conviction of sin and purification of sin at the altar of his grace.

Lord, give me a revelation of who you are today. I thank you Lord that you are seated on your throne. You are the Lord of all lords and King of all kings. Thank you that you are bigger than any circumstance I face. Thank you that you are holy! Everything you do is good! Thank you that as I spend time in your presence right now you reveal the ugly sin in my heart that needs to be eradicated. Cleanse me today with the coal from the altar of your grace. Thank you that your Son cleanses and purifies me from all unrighteousness. I worship you today for my sin is atoned for and my guilt is removed! Use me today O Lord! I boldly answer your call to be your mouthpiece and bring the gospel to the world in which I live, work and play! In Jesus’ Name, amen!

13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[f] 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”[g] 16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”[h] 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. – Romans 10:13-17

Ask the Lord to make your feet beautiful by boldly bringing the good news of the gospel to those around you.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the good news that led to my salvation. You have revealed to me that there is a lost and dying world that needs this good news preached to them so they can call upon you and be saved. Please make my feet beautiful today by using me to declare the good news of the gospel to those around me. In Your Son’s Name, amen.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,

    because he has anointed me

    to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners

    and recovery of sight for the blind,

to set the oppressed free,

   to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” – Luke 4:18-19

Ask the Lord to break free those captive to sin and open the eyes of the blind.

Lord, Jesus I thank you that the same Spirit that rests upon you rests upon me. Thank you for anointing me to join you in setting those enslaved to sin free. Holy Spirit, move in power and might today! Set those around me who are bound to sin free. Open my mouth today to declare the good news of the gospel. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” – Habakkuk 2:14

Pray for the awesome glory of the Lord to be made known in all the earth.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the prophecy you declared through Habakkuk: the knowledge of your glory will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. Use me today as your image bearer to make this prophecy a living reality. More than anything else I long to bring glory to your great Name! Be glorified Oh Lord in all the earth! In Jesus’ Name, amen.
