“Baby, I have a fun little rhyme to sing with you. Sometimes we sing this rhyme when we’re getting ready to pray and ask Jesus to help us. Jesus can help you do everything!”

Sing the “Open, Shut Them” song with baby and move his/her hands as you rock or change him/her.

“Open, shut them; open, shut them.
Give a little clap, clap, clap.
Open, shut them; open, shut them.
Put them in your lap, lap, lap.”

MORNING TIME
When you go into your baby’s room, pick them up and say: “Good morning! Jesus wants to be [name of baby]’s friend forever!”

FEEDING TIME
While feeding your baby, remember that one of the best ways to love others the way God loves you is by choosing to be kind to everyone. Who can you show kindness to this week?

CUDDLE TIME
Cuddle with your baby and pray: “God, when things are hard, help me remember that Jesus can help me with everything.”

BATH TIME
As you give your baby a bath, say: “Jesus wants to be your friend forever (clap baby’s hands together once) and ever (clap baby’s hands together once) and ever (clap baby’s hands together once)! Yay! (clap baby’s hands together over and over)” Repeat.
