What is ETHOS? 

ETHOS is the men’s ministry at Southpoint Community Church. ETHOS is more than what we do, it’s who we are. It’s a call to a certain way of life - a life defined by the character of Jesus, His purpose for our lives, and a missional approach to glorifying God and advancing His kingdom.  


Who is an ETHOS man? 

An ETHOS man is someone who: 

  • lives a life of integrity based on the truth of Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • lives a life of dynamic faith that is defined by action
  • is committed to the men around him, marked with a “no man left behind” attitude
  • is committed to a greater purpose than himself as he fulfills the Great Commission, giving his time and resources to advance God’s kingdom and not his own
  • is marked by courage and not fearful of admitting his weaknesses or being molded into his full potential in Christ
  • is anchored by prayer and submission to God’s Word
  • is the spiritual leader of his home; his family is both his calling and his legacy 

 

What does ETHOS offer? 

Life Groups 

God created and designed every man to live, breathe, and walk in a purpose that far exceeds his own capabilities. To accomplish this purpose men need one thing more than most – covenant relationships with other men. The code of the Navy Seals states: “Together you live, alone you die”. This statement is the basis for creation of our men’s life groups. Life groups are small groups where men can connect relationally with other men, be encouraged to face the pressures of life, and be challenged by other men to reach the full potential for which God made them.

High-Impact Events 

Throughout the year, we all come together for various events with a common purpose: to glorify God and be men while we do it. These nights are full of energy, where we eat like men, play like men, worship like men, and hear messages and teachings meant for only men. Don’t be surprised if you leave these events full of energy, full of faith, and full of life -- ready to take on the challenges of life because you understand you have a whole army who has your back.
