Pastor Russ is the founding pastor of Southpoint Community Church in Jacksonville, FL where he resides with his wife, Debbie. Pastor Russ and Debbie have three children, sons Ryan and Aaron, daughter Chelsea, who is married to Eric Terwilliger and a granddaughter, Madison.
With a relevant, high-energy teaching style delivered with a unique sense of humor, Pastor Russ and his family moved to Jacksonville in 1999 to found and pastor the current Southpoint Community Church. Beginning with a few members meeting in a local hotel, in a short time this vibrant ministry has grown to a large church family of dedicated followers of Christ.
Meeting Pastor Russ means encountering a man who is devoted to Christ, his family and his spiritual family. With 30 years of ministry behind him, Pastor Russ has created, with God’s direction and a dynamic staff, a church where “family” is paramount; “I want Southpoint to be a place where anyone can experience the reality of Christ and His love.”
