What is Resolution?

Resolution is Southpoint Community Church's ministry to college students. We are devoted to seeking the lost, making disciples, and equipping others to go out into the world and fulfill the Great Commission and call that God has put on their life. Resolution does not settle to put limits on what God can do or how He will accomplish His purpose in the earth! We strive to live the life we are called to in Christ, and in helping others to see and victoriously act on the call placed upon their lives. Our goal is for students to fulfill the purposes of God in their life.  We are Spirit-led, Christ-centered, and kingdom focused!

When does Resolution meet?

Resolution meets on the UNF campus during the school year, Tuesday nights at 8:30pm.
Resolution meets over the summer (May-August) in the youth hall at Southpoint Community Church on Tuesdays at 7:30pm.

What do I expect on a Tuesday night?

A loving environment with a diverse group of students with  different talents and backgrounds.  The service lasts around an hour and fifteen minutes with worship sets, a message, and a great time of fellowship.

As a “Great Commission” church, the Glocal Ministry was established to mobilize our church family and serve God’s Kingdom through mission trips to other countries and compassion initiatives within our community. The Glocal Ministry team meets quarterly at Southpoint Community Church. Want to know more about the latest happenings in the Glocal Ministry? Watch our most recent Glocal Report below.

Global Missions

Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28:18-20)

We are endeavoring to follow an Acts 1:8 model to reach the world and impact our community. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” We have Mobile Mission teams who preach the Gospel, win lost souls, build relationships and show the love of Christ to people. Scripture reveals over and over that God chooses to work through His people to accomplish His purposes in the earth. At Southpoint, we view service to Christ and His people - the church - as a privilege, a natural heart response to the love of Christ. But it’s not just about helping others. What you’ll find out when you volunteer is that serving others is also one of the best ways to grow in your relationship with God. In fact we believe there is no greater joy than being used by God to impact others.

Whether you have lots of time to volunteer each week or only a few hours every once in a while, consider making the kind of impact that only you can make. Your life will never be the same!

What is The Path?

One of the reasons Southpoint Community Church exists is to raise up Christ-followers who express godly characteristics and influence others for the Kingdom of God. The Path is one of the tools we believe the Holy Spirit will use to help move people closer to Jesus. The Path is a self-paced spiritual growth program that includes various activities, such as guided Bible studies, on-line teachings with assessments, connecting with spiritual mentors, small groups, missions, local serving projects, and video teachings.

The Path is...

-A tool to catalyze growth

-A synergistic process each piece affects the other

-Organic (a “living document”)

-Holy Spirit Driven

-Self paced

The Path is not...

-A set of hoops (growing is the goal, not “getting done”)

-The only way to grow, but a catalyst for growth

-Something that can be done independently

-Easy... it requires commitment

-Bible School
